About me

I am an award-winning fiction writer and creator of the new digital publishing company, Philistine Press.

This site features samples from my work, including the full text of the novella, About Someone – an experimental crime novella.

My short story collection, A History of Sarcasm was published in 2009.

You can buy it from Dog Horn and from Amazon.

Here is a sample story, Some Facts About Me.

Read a review of the book on The Short Review.  There's an interview on there as well.

I was born in Lancashire in 1979, and started writing from an early age.  My fiction has been published widely in the UK, Australia and USA.  I am the winner of the 2003 Philip LeBrun Prize for Creative Writing.  In 2008, I completed my MA in Creative Writing at the University of Chichester, which I passed with Distinction.

(I used to be a poet, but I gave it up.)
